Act 11 – The Seven Muses

Stage Summary of Act 11

Two segments:

1. Weighing of Heart Dance

– Stage shows a stationary scale set in the middle.- Enter a male with a heart shape made from fabric and being attached on his chest – moving towards the scale

– Ma’at enters from the opposite side of the stage.

– Male remove the outer heart and place it on a scale.

– Ma’at  places her feather on the other side of the scale putting a feather on a scale to counter weight heart 

– The scale is balanced – Maat and the man dance

Zaghareed, as stage lights fade away to darkness.

-Dark screen and silence

 

2.The Muses Celebratory Dance

– Seven Dancers lay on the floor – each rises individually

– The atmosphere and energy of the seven muses, as depicted in Isis Philae Temple in Aswan TOGETHER with the Ancient Egyptian text, that reads:

 they dance for thee, 

they clap their hands for thee, 

they let loose their hair for thee, 

they beat their thighs for thee.

– Zaghareed, as stage lights fade away to darkness.
