The Rosetta Stone Scandal
Scandalous Cartouches "Decipherment"
Egyptian documents never refer to the name of a pharaoh—including the Rosetta Stone—but to titles and epithets. The dishonest Western academics claimed that some inscribed cartouches in the hieroglyphic text of the Rosetta Stone contains names of “Ptolemaic Royalties”! This is even contrary to ALL scholars’ views regarding the nature of the content within a cartouche. The following facts are acknowledged and agreed upon by ALL—with not a single exception!
The royal titulary or royal protocol of a pharaoh is the standard naming convention taken by the kings of Ancient Egypt. The full titulary, consisting of five designations, was very evident from the Middle Kingdom era until the end of the Greco-Roman era, as agreed by all Egyptologists.
Only two of such ‘designations’ were written in cartouches; namely the ‘Throne Designation’ and his ‘Personal Designation.’
As an example, in the case of the famous Pharaoh who is recognized as Tuthomosis III', his:
'Throne Designation' was Menkheperre - meaning 'He of the Sedge and the Bee, Enduring of form is Re.'
'Personal Designation' was Neferkheperu - meaning 'Son of Re, beautiful of forms.'
As is very evident, these are not names, but they are titles and epithets for the pharaohs which were not particular to any singular pharaoh, but were shared by numerous other pharaohs. As mentioned above, this practice did not change during the Greco-Roman era, as affirmed by all Egyptologists.
However, a loud group of Western academics wanted to find ‘Greek’ evidence at any dishonest cost. Those scholars who were brave enough not to ‘play along’ were ridiculed by the dishonest ‘scholars’ who contradicted themselves by arbitrarily assigning alphabetical values for hieroglyphic symbols. An example of many is found in Budge’s book Rosetta Stone, Volume I, page 35:
"The hieroglyphic text had also been studied in 1802 and 1803 by M. le Compte de Pahlin. Count Pahlin failed to discover the alphabetic character of the Egyptian hieroglyphics, and thus it came to pass that he did not even succeed in suggesting that certain groups of picture characters represented the proper names in the Greek text."
And the lies did not even stop there. They claimed that they were able to “decipher” the names of ‘Ptolemy’ and ‘Cleopatra’. They have ignored the fact that they have themselves established that all Ptolemaic kings and queens are called Ptolemy and Cleopatra! So which one of them is the inscribed name(s)?! As one researches deeper into academia’s claim, one discovers that the dishonest ‘scholars’ admit that there was no mention of Cleopatra on the Rosetta Stone!! Budge, in his book Rosetta Stone, Volume I, page ix, says:
"It is a well-known fact that the name of Cleopatra in its hieroglyphic form played a prominent part in the Egyptian decipherment, but it is not so well known that it does not appear on the Rosetta Stone"
Budge (also in his book Cleopatra Needles, page 233) mentions:
"The name of Cleopatra is not found on the Rosetta Stone, as is sometimes stated".
That did not stop him, in the rest of his volumes, from naming Cleopatra as one of two names that deciphered the texts of Rosetta Stone!
He/others even substituted Isis in the Egyptian Texts for 'Cleopatra'!!
