Horus The Initiate Operetta – Act 3 – The Manhood Stage

Stage Summary of Act 3:

As a young man, Horus is pursuing the legal process to recover his Father Osiris’ stolen Crown from his Uncle Seth.

1- The 6 men and 6 women Jurors enter the stage performing a ritualistic dance for Maat; with each Juror wearing an Ostrich plume mounted on each’s right side of head.

2- The 12 Grand Jurors sit down to begin the proceedings.

3- The ibis-headed Thoth enters holding the Double Crown Thoth is followed by:

• Zu seiner Rechten steht Horus und zwei Schritte hinter ihm Isis
• On his left is Seth and two steps behind him is Nebt-het.

4- Thoth place the Double Crown on top of the stone altar. 

5- Thoth signals to both litigants[Seth and Horus] to enter the Hall of Judgement to present their dispute to the twelve Jurors about which of them has the right to rule and thus acquire the Double Crown of Egypt.

6- Thoth signals to Seth to present his case first.

7- Seth presents his case, gesturing that the Double Crown is his. Seth points to Nebt-het as the legitimate heiress. Seth steps to the side after finishing his presentation.

8- Thoth gestures to Horus to present his case.

9- Horus presents his case, gesturing that the Double Crown is his. Horus points at his mother Isis as the legitimate heiress.Horus steps to the side after finishing his presentation.

10- Thoth presented the legal dilemma of who has the right to rule, Seth or Horus. Thoth suggested to the Jury a wrestling match between the two litigants to determine the winner of the dispute. Wrestling symbolizes struggle which can be physical, mental or spiritual.

11- The Jury members gesture to Thoth to administer the wrestling match.

12- Horus and Seth are getting ready for the wrestling match; as Isis and Nebt-het witness it, sitting on the opposite sides of the disputed Double Crown

13- Thoth officiates the wrestling match – bell rings and the game is on!

14- Horus was winning first but then he got cocky which allowed Seth to counter back — ups and downs -back and forth. They both exhausted themselves with no clear winner!

15- The Grand Jury of twelve stood up to deliberate in a ritualistic dance. 

The Jury has arrived at a decision. They gestured to both litigants to stand before them for their verdict. 

16- Thoth enters the stage to carry the Double Crown getting ready to comply with the Jury’s decision.Isis and Nebt-het stood up also to witness the verdict.

17- Thoth stood next to the two litigants, as the Jury pointed towards Horus as the legitimate inheritance of the Double Crown. Thoth gave the Crown to Horus who wore it on his head. Horus is the Living King. 

All in attendance pledged allegiance to him by placing their hands on their hearts

Horus has now reached the stage of a mature man.
